Airwaves Facilities Management carries out commercial carpentry and building fabric repairs across the UK. We renew doors, joinery, plasterboard and trim, fabricate steel and galvanised security work, and take flood and damage repairs through to a finished room. At Square on the Square in Birmingham we rebuilt a flood-damaged apartment in five weeks.

Carpentry and fabric repairs we handle
The building fabric, not the furniture: doors, trim, plasterboard, ceilings, floors and security fabrication.
Doors, Frames & Ironmongery
Internal and external doors, hinges, frames and alignment, lock replacement and steel security doors. At The Post Box we installed new external steel security doors across communal entrances.
Joinery & Second Fix
Skirting, architrave, trim and internal doors renewed to match existing profiles. At Square on the Square we renewed all of it after a flood strip-out, and rebuilt a fitted wardrobe to match the original installation.
Plasterboard & Wall Repair
Strip-out and replacement of damaged plasterboard, taped and finished ready for decorating, so the repair does not stop where the plaster does.
Metal Fabrication & Security Work
Galvanised security railings and gates, designed and fabricated to the site. At The Post Box this was driven by anti-social behaviour in communal entrances, and the new installations were fitted with an Intratone door entry system integrated with the existing intercom across the development.
Ceilings & Floors
Suspended ceiling tiles, carpet tiles and floor finishes. At Stagecoach Oxford we renewed all ceiling and carpet tiles across 19 office rooms; at Square on the Square we installed a new herringbone floor throughout.
Bespoke Joinery
Built-to-fit cabinetry and fitted furniture where a standard unit will not work. Measured, made and installed to match what is already there.

We survey the damage, not just the symptom
A water-damaged wall is rarely only a wall. We establish how far the damage has actually travelled before quoting, because finding it halfway through is what turns a five-week job into a ten-week one.

We dry before we rebuild
At Square on the Square the strip-out was followed by a three-week drying programme with heating fans and industrial dehumidifiers, and nothing was rebuilt until a certificate of dryness had been produced.

Design and fabrication where it is needed
Security railings and gates at The Post Box were designed and fabricated for that building rather than ordered from a catalogue, then integrated with the door entry system already running across the development.

The trades follow each other
Carpentry, plastering and decorating all come through us, so second fix does not wait on another firm’s availability. Square on the Square ran strip-out through to redecoration under one contract.

Finished, not just repaired
We take the work through to a decorated, usable room. If the job ends at bare plasterboard you still have a problem.

Teams carry tablets and report directly from site, with before-and-after photography as standard.

Do you handle flood and water damage from start to finish?
Yes. Strip-out, a drying programme with heating fans and industrial dehumidifiers, a certificate of dryness, then full renovation: plasterboard, skirting, architrave, doors, flooring and decoration. Square on the Square went from flooded to finished in five weeks.
Will the repair match what is already there?
That is the job. At Square on the Square we rebuilt a fitted wardrobe to match the existing flood-damaged installation and renewed trim to match the original profiles. Where an exact match is not available we tell you before we start, not afterwards.
Can you do security railings, gates and doors?
Yes, designed and fabricated for the building. At The Post Box that meant galvanised railings and gates plus external steel security doors, installed in five days in response to anti-social behaviour in the communal entrances.
Can the door entry integrate with our existing system?
Usually. The Intratone system we installed at The Post Box was programmed to work with the intercom and door entry already running across the rest of the development.
Will I be dealing with several different firms?
No. Carpentry, plastering and decorating all come through us on one contract, which is what lets a fabric repair run straight through to decoration without you chasing anyone.
Can you work in occupied buildings?
Yes. Both Birmingham jobs on this page were in occupied city-centre residential blocks. We work under specific risk assessments and method statements where people are living or working on site.
