Airwaves Facilities Management cleans windows for commercial, industrial and managed residential property across the UK. We are members of the Federation of Window Cleaners, registration 12264, and clean from ground level using a reach-and-wash pole system, with no ladders, no access equipment and no scaffolding on most commercial buildings.
Information on window cleaning services
Window cleaning from the ground, inside and out
Cleaned from the ground, on a cycle set to how fast your building actually dirties.
Exterior Window Cleaning
Frontages, elevations and glazing cleaned using a reach-and-wash pole system, which reaches most commercial buildings from the ground without ladders or access equipment.
Interior Window Cleaning
Inside faces, frames and sills. The half of the job that gets forgotten until someone looks at the glass from the wrong side.
Multi-Storey Frontages
Reach-and-wash poles cover most commercial buildings from the ground, including several storeys. If your building is beyond pole reach we will tell you at survey rather than turn up and improvise.
Frames, Sills & Cladding
Cleaning the surround as well as the glass. Dirty frames make clean glass look worse, not better.
Shopfronts & Retail Glazing
Frontages cleaned to a retail standard, including out of hours where daytime access is not practical.
Scheduled Cleaning Cycles
Weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly, set to the building and its exposure. A city-centre frontage on a bus route needs a different cycle from a rural office park.
What's included
How window cleaning is delivered
-
We survey the building and the access
Height, elevation, what is below, and how each face can be reached safely. Access decides the method and the price far more than the number of windows does.
-
Ground level first, wherever possible
The Work at Height Regulations require work at height to be avoided where it is reasonably practicable to do it another way. A reach-and-wash pole system is exactly that: it does most commercial buildings from the ground, which removes the risk rather than managing it, and it removes the access equipment from your invoice.
-
We tell you if we are not the right people
Reach-and-wash covers most commercial buildings. We do not do rope access or abseiling, so if your building needs it we will say so at survey rather than take the job and work it out later.
-
A cycle set to the building
Weekly through to quarterly, based on exposure and use rather than a standard offer. Traffic, trees and coastal exposure all change how fast glass dirties.
-
Trained, vetted operatives
Everyone we send is vetted, with first aid and safeguarding training as well as health and safety.
-
Reported from site
Teams report from site on tablets, with before-and-after photography as standard.
Included as standard
- Survey of access before the cycle is set
- Reach-and-wash from ground level, no ladders or access equipment
- Frames and sills, not just the glass
- Cycle matched to the building’s exposure
- Before-and-after photography
I receive very efficient service, whether by email or telephone. I am always able to get through to Dan and his team. Keep it up Airwaves FM!
Why choose us
Why us for window cleaning?
Working from the ground removes the risk rather than managing it, and it takes the access hire off your invoice.
-
Federation of Window Cleaners, registration 12264
The trade body for the industry, and a membership number you can check rather than a badge on a page. The certificate is downloadable from our certifications page.
-
We work from the ground where we can
A reach-and-wash pole system cleans most commercial frontages without ladders or access equipment, which is safer than working at height and cheaper than hiring the kit to get up there.
-
We will tell you when we are not the right fit
We clean from the ground with poles. We do not do rope access or abseiling, and we would rather say that at survey than take a building we cannot properly reach.
-
Frames and sills, not just the glass
Clean glass in a dirty frame looks worse than before you started. The surround is part of the job.
-
A cycle set to your building
Weekly through to quarterly, based on exposure, traffic and use, not a standard package applied to every site.
-
One contract for the whole building
Window cleaning sits alongside cleaning, waste and grounds under one contractor, one invoice and one point of contact.
-
Over 50 people, since 2017
Airwaves has been trading since March 2017 and the team is now more than fifty strong. Big enough to cover a national portfolio, small enough that you are not passed between account managers.
Before you enquire
Window Cleaning: your questions answered
How high can you reach?
Reach-and-wash poles clean most commercial buildings from the ground, several storeys up. We do not do rope access or abseiling, so if your building is beyond pole reach, we will tell you at survey rather than take the job and work it out on the day. Access is what decides both the method and the price, which is why we look first.
Do you need scaffolding or a cherry picker?
Usually not. Working from the ground with poles avoids access equipment entirely on most buildings, which is both safer and cheaper. The Work at Height Regulations require work at height to be avoided where it is reasonably practicable to do the job another way.
How often should our windows be cleaned?
It depends on the building. A city-centre frontage on a bus route dirties far faster than a rural office park. Cycles run weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly, and we will recommend one based on exposure rather than sell you the same schedule as everyone else.
Do you clean the inside too?
Yes, including frames and sills.
Can you work out of hours?
Yes, for retail and occupied buildings where daytime access is not practical.
Are you insured for work at height?
We carry public liability insurance and hold ISO 9001:2015, CHAS and SafeContractor accreditation, plus Federation of Window Cleaners membership under registration 12264. All the certificates are downloadable from our certifications page.
What areas do you cover?
The whole UK. We are based at Berkswell in the West Midlands, but that is where we are rather than how far we go.
Where we cover
Our service area
We clean windows across the UK, from our base at Berkswell, CV7 7SL. Wherever your sites are we can get to them, and if you have property in more than one region, one contract covers all of it.
