Millbrook: Flood Mitigation Works

During recent floods, Airwaves FM responded to reports of a culvert having burst its banks, affecting neighbouring properties. Airwaves FM deployed an emergency crew consisting of vegetation management operatives and a civils gang with excavators to restore river banks and ensure water flow away from the housing estate.

The team then cleared drainage chambers of significant back up and carried out a CCTV survey to all adjacent drains.

On identifying a collapsed drain, a groundworks team were deployed to excavate a 2500 x 3000mm area and repair the drains. The area was made good with 2 tonne of type 1 MOT, new tarmac and sealed.
